Getting Ready for an Occasion, Without the Rush
A wedding, a birthday, a long-awaited dinner. How to plan your beauty appointments so the day itself feels calm.
By Sofia Malik, Beauty & Grooming · sample author
The days before an event can easily fill with errands. Planning your treatments a little in advance means you can arrive at the occasion feeling relaxed rather than rushed.
Two weeks before
This is a good time for a facial, so skin has time to settle, and for brow shaping if you would like a new shape. Book any patch tests needed for tints or lash lifts now.
The week before
Brow and lash tints, waxing and a body polish all sit nicely in the week before an event. Avoid trying brand-new skincare products this close to the day.
A day or two before
A manicure and pedicure a day or two before gives polish time to set fully. A relaxing massage is a lovely way to settle any nerves — just leave a little time afterwards to rest.
- Manicure & pedicure
- Relaxing massage
- An early night
On the day
Keep it simple: a good breakfast, plenty of water and a calm start. Everything else is already done.
Planning several treatments? Tell us the date in your booking request and we will help you space them sensibly.
